Meath did the business at Pairc Tailteann today and sealed a return to the NFL Div 1 in 2020 with a merited 2-12 to 0-11 win against Fermanagh and for Bryan Menton, who chipped in with one point, he's relishing the return to Croke Park next Saturday for the Division 2 decider against Donegal.
An estimated 5,000 spectators flocked to the ground and for the Meath supporters who made up that majority of those in attendance, Menton was delighted they now had Division 1 status to look forwrd to.
"It's great for the supporters, it's been something like 13 years since Meath were last there (Division 1) and so the supporters finally have something to shout about. Hopefully we can get a bit of silverware and bring the form into the Championship."
