FAKE NEWS: Drumcondra station will be open on matchday

Despite reports to the contrary Drumcondra train station WILL be open tomorrow (Saturday) and supporters travelling to Meath's NFL Div 2 final clash with Donegal in Croke Park can avail of the facilities at the station.
It was tweeted earlier in this week by @MeathGAA that the station will be closed, but Irish Rail confirmed this morning that that will not be the case and the station is actually closing on Saturday 6th April.

 

Meath GAA had tweeted 'Supporters travelling to Saturday's game by train are adised that Drumcondra Train station will be closed. Irish Rail advise supporters to go to Connolly Station and make their way to Croke Park from there.'
However, Irish Rail replied to a tweet from our own @truefergallynch confirming that 'this is incorrect. Drumcondra is fully operational this weekend.'

 

 

So it appears that Meath GAA have been misinformed and while they have yet to correct or delete their tweet, it is confirmed to be 'fake news' and Drumcondra Train Station will be in use for supporters and all other train passengers tomorrow.
