Barry Geraghty taken to hospital after Aintree fall
Barry Geraghty was taken to hospital this afternoon after a fall in the Topham Chase from Peregrine Run.
THe Meath man missed the ride on favourite Champ in the next race a novice hurdle with Mark Walsh deputising and going on to win on the JP McManus-owned horse.
"Hopefully Barry will be okay, he took a nasty fall," stated Walsh in a post-race interview.
Barry Geraghty will be assessed in hospital.
He is due to ride the Tony Martin-trained Anibale Fly in the Grand National tomorrow.
