Navan's most famous pensioner? Pierce Brosnan turns 66

Navan and perhaps Meath's most famous son, Pierce Brosnan turns 66 today. A Bona Fide Hollywood legend, Brosnan is best known for being the fifth actor to portray secret agent James Bond , starring in four films from 1995 to 2002 (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day).
He also starred in a number of other blockbusters including Mrs Doubtfire, Serphaim Falls and Mama Mia. 
Brosnan has been bestowed with numerous honours throughout his career which include a place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (1997), an OBE (awarded in Dublin in 2003), two Golden Globe nominees and the Freedom of Navan in 1999. He was also voted the  "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine in 2001.
