Gardai investigate Navan hit and run incident which left cyclist injured

Gardai in Navan are investigating a hit and run incident which occurred on the Windtown Rd, Navan area this morning (Saturday 01/06/2019 where a cyclist was knocked down and injured by a vehicle which failed to remain at the scene. 

 

Gardai say the car may be a 06 type VW Jetta. This incident occurred between 4.15am and 4.45am. The gardai are appealing for witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage which may have been travelling on the Windtown Road at that time. To contact Navan Garda Station on 0469036100.

Meanwhile, Kells Gardai are investigating an incident which occured just after midnight on Thursday at Drewstown outside Kells on the Mullingar Rd. A 11 MH ##30 silver Vauxhall Insignia hatchback car was stolen from the owner after an incident along the road.
