All set for the off in Sean Nolan Meath Grand Prix
Cyclists far and wide are expected to take part in the hugely popular Sean Nolan Meath Grand Prix which takes places this Sunday.
The senior race gets underway at 1pm with sign on and parking available from 11am at the Simonstown GAA clubhouse. The finish will be at Wilkinstown Hall.
The senior A1/A2 race will consist of four laps (150k); A3 and juniors three laps (115k); A4 two laps (80k) and women's race two laps also. Preregistration is required for A4 (see NRC Facebook for complete details).
The junior races start at 9.45am. The u-12s (10k), u-14s (24k) and u-16s (30k). Sign on for the youth races is from 8.30am, at Ardsallagh, CI5KO23.
The Sean Nolan Grand Prix is named after a well-known local man who did so much for cycling with Sean's son PJ and John also becoming deeply involved in the sport for many years. PJ is a former president of Cycling Ireland and has commentated on RTE at cycling events at the Olympic Games for RTE.
