Qualifier interest high in Meath

Meath GAA supporters will be tuning into three of the four All-Ireland SFC qualifier games scheduled for tomorrow with a little extra interest.

Meath will face one of the winning teams the following weekend in a bid to qualify for the Super 8s for the first time.

The Round 4 qualifier draw of the 2019 All-Ireland senior football championship will take place next Monday morning.

It will be broadcast live on Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1 just after 8.30am and also carried live on gaa.ie.

The Round 4 drawwill involve the four winners from tomorrow's Round 3 ties.

SATURDAY 29th JUNE 
Newbridge - Kildare v Tyrone
Mullingar - Westmeath v Clare
Castlebar - Mayo v Armagh
Portlaoise - Laois v Offaly

The opposition for the winners of the above games will be the four Provincial runners-up - Cavan, Galway, Cork, Meath).

The draw is subject to avoidance of repeat pairings.

Possible Repeat Pairings include Meath v Laois/Offaly; Cavan v Armagh.

Unlike in previous rounds, venues for Round 4 are not on a home and away basis.

The venues and times will be confirmed by the CCCC on Monday afternoon with the fixtures scheduled for next weekend (6th & 7th July).

All matches in this round of the Football Championship will be “Winner on the Day”, if required.
