Fine weather set to last into next week
Our fine weather spell looks set to stick around for the weekend according to Met Eireann.
Today (Friday) is set to remain cloudy today with a few sunny spells. Some showers will develop in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees. Moderate southeast winds will gradually become southwest.
Tonight will see a much fresher night compared to recent evenings with lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees. It will be largely dry and winds will become slack overnight.
Tomorrow, (Saturday) will be mainly dry as well with sunny spells and just the odd shower. Highest temperatures 18 to 22 degrees. Winds will be light westerly or variable.
Sunday will see sunny spells for much of the country and just isolated showers. Later in the day a spell of rain is likely to develop over Ulster. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, coolest in the north, in light northwest or variable breezes. Isolated showers overnight, otherwise dry. Minimum temperatures 10 to 14 degrees.
Monday is looking mainly dry as well with sunny intervals and just the chance of some rain in the south and isolated showers elsewhere. Highest temperatures again 17 to 21 degrees with light to moderate variable breezes.
Current indications, says Met Eireann, are that the weather will stay a bit changeable with temperatures around normal for the time of year.
