Knightsbrook Resort will host the Main Inter Counties Championships in February and B Inter Counties Championship in April each year.
Hotel General Manager, Patrick Curran announced this will be a tremendous boost to Cusack Hotels and the wider Meath economy to have these prestigious dart events come to our county.
Sister Property, Newgrange Hotel in Navan have also secured the Youth’s Inter Counties Darts Championships in March during the same three years.
We are also delighted to secure this significant contract in beating off strong competition from other venues around the country. It would not be possible for us to submit a winning bid without the tangible support of our regional Tourism colleagues, Hotels and Guest Houses.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish the INDO continued success with their championships in Ennis next Spring and look forward to welcoming all the competitors to the Royal County in 2021.
INDO General Secretary, Kevin Devaney spoke of, that there were several bids submitted to host the Inter – Counties Championship for 21,22 and 23. This shows the strength in the INDO Brand and Irish Darts when venues submit such excellent Tenders to host the Inter – Counties Championship.
We are excited to be moving to a new venue for these championships and starting a new chapter for us at INDO. On a final note, we are extremely grateful to Treacy’s West County Hotel, Ennis, Co. Clare especially Mr Patrick Treacy and all his team that have helped make the Inter – Counties Championship such a success over the years.
