€500,000 Euromillions win for Meath

 A ticket sold in Rathmolyon won the top prize of half a million euro in last night's Euro Millions Plus draw.
The winning numbers are: 9, 18, 26, 32 and 43

The €3.50 quick pick ticket was sold in Christy Ryan's shop in Rathmolyon on Sunday.
There was great excitement in Rathmolyon today as speculation mounted as to the identity of the lucky winner.
"We just hope it is somebody local who deserves it. It is great news," says Christy.

"We are always busy on Sundays, particularly after the Masses, so we wouldn't have a clue who it was.
"We are over the moon. €500,000 is a nice managable sum for anyone."

Christy got the news that he had sold a half a million winner when he was contacted by the National Lottery last night and Lottery personnel arrived at the shop this morning,.
"It is fantastic. It is great for the shop and for the community. We are delighted."
Christy says he always feels it is a lucky shop, although they have never had a really major win before but have sporadically had smaller wins and just recently a couple of €300 and €500 scratch card wins.
