50th anniversary for Bohermeen AC this weekend

Bohermeen Athletic Club will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the present club at a function in the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan on Sunday night. 

Present and past members are expected to attend and some former members are travelling from abroad. 

The current club was formed in October 1969 following a meeting in Bohermeen school and has since become an integral part of the community. The first officers were: president - Fr Delany; chairman - Liam Brady; secretary / treasurer - Donald Rennicks.
