Cllr Noel French welcomed the funding, saying the town needed a performance space for a long time.
"Trim musical and drama groups set the highest of standards and they deserve a proper place to exhibit their skills. I want to thank the T-Act group for their work in highlighting the need for this space," he said..
Cllr Sean Drew welcomed the funding for Kells.
This is positive news with this investment in Kells to further develop the town as a Arts and Cultural Hub. These two projects will hopefully continue to enhance the promotion of Kells as a tourism destination. Well done to Kells Local Heroes and all concerned with moving these projects forward,” he said.
