eComm enters three-year sponsorship with Navan Racecourse
Navan Racecourse today announced a new three-year sponsorship with eCOMM Merchant Solutions, beginning with the feature race on Saturday 7th December, the €80,000 Grade B eCOMM Merchant Solutions Handicap Hurdle over three miles.
The race, now with an amended distance and increased prize money, was previously run as the Proudstown Handicap Hurdle, which in recent years took place on Troytown Chase Day in November.
Noel Moran, founder of eCOMM Merchant Solutions commented: “We are very happy to be associated with Navan Racecourse which combines nearly 100 years of racing history with one of the most modern facilities in the country.”
Navan Racecourse Manager, Peter Killeen said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming a locally based business eCOMM Merchant Solutions to support our feature race on December 7th. We are all very excited about the race which we are confident will develop into an important highlight in the National Hunt Calendar. The boost in prizemoney to €80k is sure to attract attention and it is intended to hit the magic €100k status by year three which will undoubtedly help lead to a very competitive handicap. A big thank you and appreciation to Noel Moran, a great supporter of Irish racing, and his team at eCOMM Merchant Solutions for entering into a three year deal and I look forward to working with Noel in maximising the opportunities through sponsorship on what will definitely become one of Navan’s key feature races in the coming years.”
