Irish water customers face disruption after treatment plant breakdown
Irish Water advises that customers in Trim town and surrounding areas may experience disruption to their supply as urgent repairs are underway following a mechanical breakdown at the water treatment plant
The disruption is affecting Trim town, Rathmolyon, Summerhill and surrounding areas and that there may be disruption to their water supply as urgent repairs are underway following a mechanical breakdown at the water treatment plant yesterday evening. It is expected that the repair will be completed later today.
Water supply to the majority of customers was maintained by water stored in reservoirs last night, however the reservoir storage has been depleted.
Customers may experience disruption to their supply including low pressure and water outages as repairs continue.
Following the completion of the repairs at the plant it may take a number of hours for normal water supply to resume for all customers.
