World title for Keane Barry
Duleek teenager Keane Barry won the BDO World Youths Championship in London today.
Barry won the Junior World Darts at Alexandra Palace, London last month against top Czech Republic opponent Adam Gawlas.
This weekend's victory completes a memorable month (December / January) for the 17-year-old Duleek thrower who became the youngest Irish player to compete at the PDC's World Championship last month also.
This afternoon the Duleek thrower got the better of defending champion Leighton Bennett.
The 3-0 win included three 180s and means Barry, who is the current Irish Matchplay champion, now holds the BDO's Boys Youths World Masters, JDC and BDO world titles.
Next up for Barry is a qualifier to gain a full PDC tour card at Q School in Wigan from 16th -19th January.
Following that he will also face Luke Littler in the JDC Super 16 academy final during the World Masters at
Milton Keynes in February.
