Libraries among Council services affected by virus spread
Meath County Council is adapting its level of service provision in line with the measures announced this morning by An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar. The Council says it is endeavouring to provide the highest level of public services that the situation allows.
Libraries:
In line with the Government’s recommendations, all Library Branches in the county will close from the evening of Thursday, March 12 until March 29, inclusive. This decision is in line with the national recommendations for all public libraries. We will continue to operate our online services.
Swimming Pools:
The Kells Pool and the Navan and Trim Pools, operated by Aura, will continue to remain open.
Municipal District Offices:
These are remaining open and will operate as normal.
Buvinda House (Council Headquarters):
This is remaining open and will operate as normal.
However, for customers that have an appointment with Council staff in the coming days, you are advised to contact the relevant Department should you wish to re-schedule your appointment to a later date, if possible.
A spokesperson said: "We are keeping all our operations under review, in order to ensure that we comply with and support the national objective of minimising the spread of the Covid 19 virus. We will advise further of any changes.
