Bring banks in Navan burned out for third time
The bring banks at Aura Navan have been destroyed by fire, and will not be replaced as this is the third time this has occurred, according to Meath County Council.
"The bring bank network is very busy at present," according to Bernadine Carry, Meath County Council. "With the bars and restaurants closed, and lots of cooking going on at home, there is a huge amount of glass and cans going through the system. Unfortunately for the local residents in this part of Navan, they will have to take their glass and cans to Blackcastle Shopping Centre or to the Car Park opposite the Fire Station. We can't replace the banks a fourth time as the operator has informed us that they are now uninsurable at this location due to vandalism. It's a pity that some people think its funny or cool to vandalise important infrastructure used by everyone going about their business day to day."
