Meath steps from Darkness into Light in support of Pieta House

Thousands of people across Meath have taken part in the mental health charity Pieta House 'Darkness Into Light' Sunrise Appeal at dawn.

The 5km walk/run did not take place this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions but the sunrise appeal allowed people participate in their own way, holding alternative events.

Ryan Tubridy revealed on the Late Late Show that a stunning €1.6m (and counting)had been raised for Pieta House by viewers. It included a €100,000 donation from Electric Ireland.
