The 11th annual Meath Sports Awards were presented at Knightsbrook Hotel in January 2018. As usual the event featured the top men and women from the Royal County across nine separate sporting disciplines with the four strands of the GAA represented - football, hurling, camogie and ladies football .
The overall award was presented to top national hunt jockey Robbie Power on a night when his father, Con, was pleasantly surprised to receive the Hall of Fame accolade.
There were also a category award for Kilmessan camogie player Aileen Donnelly who was voted the winner of the Outstanding Achievement award on the night by the guests.
Dunshaughlin basketball player Rachael Huijsdens scooped the young sportsperson award.
