Support Penneys Navan purple event for World Down Syndrome Day
This Sunday March 21st Penneys in Navan is taking on a purple day to mark World Down Syndrome Day to raise money for the charity Down Syndrome Louth/Meath.
Working with almost 250 families in Louth and Meath, their goal is to help people with Down Syndrome make their own futures as independent and bright as possible. They provide education, support and most importantly friendship.
There are lots of ways you can get involved. Get running or walking, wear the colour purple and share your pictures on social media using the hashtag thankshunpenneez.
A spokesperson for Penneys in Navan said:
“This charity is very close to our hearts and with the help of our very own Penneys superhero John aged 6 we are working to raise awareness over the coming days about Down Syndrome and the work this charity does for families in Louth and Meath.
“Help us raise funds for this amazing charity on the 21st of March which is World Down Syndrome Day!”
