Meath jockey Aileen O'Sullivan sustained an injury in a fall at Navan races today and was brought to hospital in Blanchardstown.
Update from @ihrb_ie Medical Officer, Dr. Richard Downey at @NavanRacecourse
“Aileen O’Sullivan has been taken to Blanchardstown Hospital for precautionary x-rays following her fall, she was very comfortable and alert when leaving the racecourse.”
O'Sullivan was propelled into the spotlight last October after she partnered her first winner at Clonmel on American Image in a two-mile handicap chase.
It was her subsequent interview with Racing TV that proved a big hit with viewers and later on social media.
Apart from riding horses she also manages to play some football with Walterstown, but today at Navan she sustained a fall in a two-mile hurdle race when American Image faltered at the last flight.
