Dunshaughlin mourns former librarian, Mai Foley
Dunshaughlin is in mourning for its long time librarian, Mai Foley, who has died after a long illness.
Mai passed away yesterday (Sunday) at Ratoath Manor Nursing Home following a two-year illness.
A member of the Donnelly family, she was wife of the late Podger Foley of the well-known Dunshaughlin family, and was also predeceased by her sister, Bernadette and brother, John.
Mai will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but most of all by her loving family, Terry, Grace, Lorraine and Colin, sons-in-law Peter and Greg, daughters-in-law Karen and Kristie, her beloved grandchildren Max, Patrick, Christian, Flynn and Kobi, her sisters Ann and Angela and brother Richard. Mai will also be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her friends and neighbours from Dunshaughlin, and all whom she came in contact with through her work as a librarian, first in the community college, and later, on the move to the former Dunshaughlin RC church.
Due to current restrictions, a private family funeral will take place for Mai at 10am on Wednesday in Ss Patrick and Seachnaill's Church, Dunshaughlin, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery, viewablr on www.churchservices.tv/dunshaughlin.
