Ashbourne and Ratoath areas hit by water pipe burst

Irish Water is working with Meath County Council to carry out urgent repairs to restore the water supply to Ashbourne and Ratoath following a major burst to a water main. Crews are working to repair the burst main as quickly and as safely as possible in line with COVID-19 protocols.

Customers in the following areas may be impacted by disruption to their supply while the repairs are underway - Cushinstown, Kilmoon, Curraha, Ratoath, Kilbride, Ashbourne, Slane Road, Tudor Grove, Milltown Road and surrounding areas.

Repairs are expected to continue until later tonight. Once the repairs are successfully completed, normal water supply will begin to be restored. It may take two hours for normal water supply to return to all customers but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.

Irish Water is contacting customers who are registered on its vulnerable customer register.
