Meath footballers return to training at Dunganny

Meath footballers returned to training this evening at Dunganny in preparation for the resumption of the National Football League next month. The hurlers return on Tuesday evening.

The players and management and officials all received negative Covid-19 test results today.

The screening that was carried out on the senior panel, management and support personnel was sponsored by Cruinn Diagnostics and HealthWatch Ltd.

Cruinn Diagnostics and HealthWatch is a loyal supporter of Meath GAA and provide Gold Standard RT qPCR screening services for SARS-CoV-2, to enable companies and organisations to remain open and operational during the current pandemic.

Cruinn also provide Rapid Antigen tests including Siemens CLINITEST, which are WHO and NDC approved and are recommended for use when PCR testing is not available or practicable.

For the Meath panel all the focus turns to tomorrow morning and the draw for the Leinster SFC with the pairings to be determined when the 2021 Leinster Football and Hurling Championship draws take place on Morning Ireland.

The Leinster SFC draw will take place at 7.30am and the hurling at 8.30am.

However, before the championships action is played, Meath will have some high-intensity NFL Div 2 North action in a three-game series that will determine promotion and relegation by the fourth game.

NFL Div 2 North - Meath, Mayo, Westmeath and Down.
