Two claimers heading for Danestown

Trainer Gavin Cromwell has a couple of new lodgers at his Danestown base outside Navan after two of the runners at Dundalk today from the one-mile claiming race will now be trained there.

Runner-up Liberty Star from the James McAuley Hilltop Stables in Naul was claimed for €7,000 to be trained by Gavin Cromwell - the four-year-old was sold by Godolphin for £1,200 to Hilltop Racing last December.

Also claimed was the fourth-placed Pachmena from the Curragh-based James Feanefor €12,000 to be trained by Gavin Cromwell

The race was won by the McAuley-trained Approach The City, one of five McAuley runners in the 10-runner contest.
