Trainer Joseph Murray lands the last at Limerick

Trainer Joseph Murray who is based close to Navan was in the winners' enclosure again when Rodney Bay got up to win by a head at Limerick and foil a gamble on Ellaat which was supported from 50/1 into 5/2 at the off.

Jockey James Doyle was denied a fortnight ago at Dundalk by a nose, but came out on the right side of the photo-finish on this occasion to the delight of the owner and the trainer's wife Lisa Sheridan.

Trainer Matthew Smith sent out his first winner since moving premises from Kilmessan to Trimblestown when Bigz Belief made the most of getting in as second reserve to win a 45-65 handicap with Dylan Browne McMonagle on board.
