NHL Sunday round up

The big result from today's NHL action was the victory for Antrim in Div 1B against Clare by 1-21 to 0-22.

It was probably appropriate that Antrim's first game back in Div 1 was at Corrigan Park in Belfast.

Corrigan Park was Antrim’s first County Ground in 1926 and is named after John Corrigan who had served the Gaelic Athletic Association in a number of roles.

That win will set Antrim up nicely for a trip to Nowlan Park to tackle Kilkenny next weekend.

In the other game in Group B Wexford had a 4-17 to 0-10 win against Laois while in Div 1A Cork recorded a 5-22 to 1-27 win over Waterford.

Meath opened their Div 2A campaign with a home defeat against Offaly as the Royal County lost by 16 points (3-9 to 3-25).

Kerry defeated Down by 4-18 to 0-19 while Carlow posed too many questions for Wicklow winning by 3-19 to 0-17.

In Div 2B Mayo were 0-21 to 0-16 winners against Derry while Donegal defeated Roscommon by 1-13 to 1-11.
