Two men appear in court in connection with €1.35m drugs seizure
Two Polish nationals appeared before a special Court in Navan yesterday (Sunday) charged in connection with the seizure of €1.35 million worth of drugs in Co Meath last Friday (28th).
They were Adam Gorny aged 34 of Railway Close, Clongriffin, Dublin and Artur Wydrzynski aged 32 with an address at Malin House, Waterville, Dublin 15 and they were charged with possession of e70,000 worth of cannabis for sale or supply.
Two detectives from the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau gave evidence of having arrested and charged the two accused following the stopping of a car and search of a premises at Dunshaughlin.
The court was told that a file was being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the remainder of the drugs.
Judge Cormac Dunne remanded both accused in custody with consent to their own bail of €100 with a separate independent surety of €20,000 each, to be lodged in court, and to appear by videolink from Cloverhill Prison at Trim District Court tomorrow (Tuesday).
