Ratoath singer aiming to be the next big deal
Kevin Hartnett on new Virgin Media talent series tomorrow night
Ratoath singer Kevin Hartnett is one of the acts taking part in the opening night of talent show ‘The Big Deal’ which receives its worldwide debut on Virgin Media One tomorrow, Saturday 4th September at 8pm.
Hosted by Vogue Williams, this brand-new format devised by Fox Entertainment introduces a variety of talent from all across the country. Each act will try their best to impress a celebrity judging panel featuring Boy George, JLS lead singer Aston Merrygold, comedian Deirdre O’Kane, breakout music star Lyra and Eurovision duo Jedward, in the hopes of winning a top prize of €50,000.
However, on The Big Deal the performers are in control, as each act is offered a money deal to walk away from the competition. If they take the money they must leave immediately. But if they turn down the deal, then the judge’s votes will decide their fate.
In tomorrow night’s episode, Kevin Hartnett from Ratoath aims to wow the judges with his powerful voice. Two dancers from Dublin bring their unique style to the competition. Other acts auditioning include a flying trapeze couple, a singing family, a circus duo and an illusionist who aims to play mind games with the judges.
Plus, a real-life couple that sang for the frontline workers every week during lockdown step onto a theatre stage for the first time in over a year.
