Sweet victory for Kildalkey as St Colmcille's win MFC crown

There was joy for the supporters of Kildalkey and St Colmcille's as their respective teams won their games in Pairc Tailteann.

Kildalkey avenged their semi-final defeat to Trim last year when they put in a powerhouse performance and wrap up a deserved 1-18 to 0-13 victory in the SHC semi-final.

The curtain-raiser at headquarters today was the MFC final which was won after an exciting contest by St Colmcille's on a 2-12 to 1-8 margin.

Kildalkey built on a 1-7 to 0-8 interval advantage to secure their place in a SHC final against Kiltale next Sunday.
