Gardaí investigating death of woman in Monaghan

Gardaí are investigating the unexplained circumstances of the death of a woman (40) whose body was discovered in a Monaghan town apartment this week.

Gardaí and Ambulance Services attended the location at Lakeside Walk, shortly after 2am on Monaghan on Wednesday, January 19. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has since been removed from the scene where a post mortum is taking place.

The scene was preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau conducted an examination of the scene. The results of a post-mortem examination will determine the course of a Garda investigation in the case. Investigations ongoing.
