Women to celebrate ‘end of lockdown’ with charity event

'Women Who Wow' a night to celebrate womanhood takes place in the Newgrange Hotel, Navan, on 8th April, with all funds raised going to Meath Women's Refuge.

Organised by Navan-based personal trainer Aoife Bradley, tickets are already in big demand and the event has raised over €4,000 in the first week since it was launched.

"This is a night not to be missed. It is night to celebrate all things womanhood, from sisters to mothers, friendships to women in business- we are all going to come together to celebrate the power of being a woman," said Aoife.

There will be guest speakers, women in business showcasing their business, music, entertainment, spot prizes, giveaways and refreshments.

Speaking about why she decided to host this event, Aoife said: "I am a woman. I am a mother of twin girls. I am a daughter. I am a business owner and I want to reconnect with all the women out there and have a fun filled night. All money we raise through our ticket sales and raffle on the night will be going directly to Meath Women's Refuge here in Navan."

She added: "During lockdown I got an opportunity during lockdown to connect with so many amazing women on instagram and facebook, not just women who run a business but who are another mammy, another woman out there who is just trying to put ther best foot forward, so I thought wouldn't it be a great idea to get everyone in a room and to celebrate being a woman."

Within 24 hours over 80 tickets were sold to the public and over 60 women in business have registered their interest in showcasing on the night.

Tickets are €25 and are available at https://linktr.ee/womenwhowow_event.

Those who purchase an early bird ticket are entered into draw for a prize worth €600.

Aoife has thanked everyone who supported the event so far.

"Our Early Bird tickets only went on sale last Monday evening and we are now down to our final 16 Early Bird attendee tickets. Our business stand tickets went on sale on Thursday and we are now down to our last four places.

And with over €4,000 already raised for Meath Women's Refuge and six weeks until our event takes place this is incredible. Thank you to everyone who has supported this event so far," she said.
