Dancing star Nina to judge Fairyhouse Most Stylish Lady
On Easter Monday, 18th April, Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa returns as style partner for the Most Stylish Lady at the BoyleSports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse, with Irish Grand National winning jockey and Dancing with the Stars contestant, Nina Carberry, as this year’s judge. An exciting day in the racing and style calendar, the €500,000 BoyleSports Irish Grand National and Most Stylish Lady is the highlight of the festival.
The historic racing festival attracts over 25,000 people over three days, and the Most Stylish Lady event on Easter Monday is the main off-track attraction. Nina Carberry will join be joined by style sponsor, Gráinne Ross, managing director of Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa, as she chooses the most stylish lady on the day. The theme of this year’s Most Stylish Lady is 'Vintage Sparkle', as this year celebrates 150 winners of the Irish Grand National. Nina will look for a lady who has dressed to impress, with her personal take on the theme, and of course, the essential race day head piece.
This year, the winning lady will receive a trip to Champagne, France. This weekend getaway includes an overnight in Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa, along with flights, transfers, and three nights in a luxury hotel in Champagne, as well as being treated to a tour and tasting in the cellars of a premium Champagne house. The winner will also receive €500 spending money to round off a wonderful weekend. The two runners up will receive a spa day for two people at the tranquil Seoid Spa at Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa.
Nina Carberry is looking forward to the festival, saying: ‘I’m excited to be announced as the judge for the Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa Most Stylish Lady at Fairyhouse, and I can’t wait to be a part of the glamour and excitement that takes place on the day. It goes without saying that the Grand National has a special place in my heart and attending it as a judge of the Most Stylish Lady will be extra special this year. I know that the task of picking just one lady to receive this wonderful prize will be a difficult one. Mostly, I’ll be looking for a lady whose personality shines through in what she is wearing and for someone who interprets the Vintage Sparkle theme in her own unique way.’
Grainne Ross added: ‘We are thrilled to announce that we will be, once again, sponsoring the Most Stylish Lady at the Fairyhouse Easter Festival this year. It is our privilege to join forces with our local racetrack Fairyhouse, and the HRI, to deliver this fun event for the stylish race-goers.’
Fairyhouse manager, Peter Roe said: "We are delighted to be able to host the Dunboyne Castle Hotel Most Stylish lady on the biggest day of the Irish Jumps Calendar, The Boylesports Irish Grand National, on Easter Monday. We are looking forward to welcoming the crowds back to our Easter festival and having a local hero, Grand National winning jockey, and Dancing Queen, Nina Carberry, judging will make it a very special return of this popular event”
Ladies hoping to take part can register at the Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa Most Stylish Lady marquee beside the parade ring in Fairyhouse, from 12 noon on Easter Monday.
Meanwhile, Dancing with the Stars is all about Nina Carberry after the former jockey scored another perfect score of 30 on Sunday night’s episode.
The 37 year-old Irish Grand National winner, who is paired with two-time winning pro dancer Pasquale La Rocca, danced an energetic Charleston and scored top marks from all three judges.
BoyleSports have now trimmed the talented dancer into 4/7 from 8/11 meaning she is tightening her grip on favouritism week after week.
Jordan Conroy also scored a perfect score of 30 but was in the dance-off at the end of the night with TV presenter Gráinne Seoige. The judges decided to save the rugby player, but his odds have been eased in the betting out to 9/1 from 5/1 as all the support comes for Nina.
Nicolas Roche moved into 25/1 from 33/1 with Love Island star Matthew MacNabb and Aslans Billy McGuinness both the 33/1 outsiders.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “The standard of dancing on Sunday night was excellent but it’s Nina Carberry who the fans have fallen in love with the most. The former jockey scored another perfect score meaning she is now 4/7 from 8/11 to win Dancing with the Stars. Nicolas Roche is 25/1 from 33/1 but he has a long way to go to reach the standards of Nina.”
