Eureka girls fundraiser for Special Hands Activity Group

The TY students of Rang Grainne at Eureka Secondary School, Kells, recently held a fundraising Coffee Morning in the Headfort Arms Hotel in support of local group Special Hands Activity Group who work with children and young adults with additional needs.

Their teacher, Stephen McKee, commented: "We were delighted to launch our YSI school project on 'Hidden Disabilities' and to do so supporting the Special Hands Activity Group who do such wonderful work in the community.

“Thanks to Olivia and all in the Headfort Arms for hosting and kindly sponsoring the event, to Meath County Council for their support and to Alva Cullen who attended on behalf of Special Hands.

"Students also acknowledge the help from Cllr Sarah Reilly who has linked in with the project through her JAM Card initiative which promotes awareness of hidden disabilities amongst groups, businesses and organisations and aims to lessen the difficulties faced in everyday interactions by those with hidden disabilities," he said.
