Getty gets it in exciting Moynalty race

St Brigid's AC's Aaron Getty won a tight Moynalty AC Four-Mile Road Race on Easter Monday when he had 15 seconds to spare over Duleek & District AC's David Doyle in a time of 22 minutes and 33 seconds.

Dunboyne AC's Laura Buckley had 24 seconds to spare in the ladies race as her time of 23:35 proved too strong for Trim AC's Edel Gaffney.

The men's team race was won by Navan AC with Barry Watters, John Masterson and Johnny Finegan edging out the Bohermeen AC team of Billy McCabe, Tony Walsh and David O'Connell.

Dunboyne AC claimed the women's team event with Mairead Hogan, Claire Ni Fhaircheallaigh and Siobhan Foley scoring.
