Ballinlough's trip to Dunshaughlin ultimately proved to be a disappointing expedition for them as they lost out to the home side in this A FL Div 2B clash on Tuesday evening. The sides were level at 1-4 apiece at the interval with Tom Shine finding the net for the 'Lough but Dunshaughlin proved to have a sharper cutting edge in the second-half. Shine finished with 1-2 while Benji Smith and Mark McCullen slotted over two points apiece. Michael Geraghty, who was involved in the creation of a number of Ballinlough scores, and Harry Ryan were others who contributed points for the north Meath side.

After an excellent opening half that helped them go in at the break 0-9 to 1-2 in front Skryne had to settle for a draw against Na Fianna in this A FL Div 1A clash at Enfield on Tuesday evening.
Mark Battersby showed the way for the visitors with five points, four frees, while Niall Finnerty also raised three white flags, one free, as did Darragh Campion, all frees. Conor O'Brien was another who contributed a score to Skryne's tally. It looked like it would be enough to secure victory but Jamie Queeney equalised with a late, late point to rescue a draw for the home team. Missed goal opportunities and a modest second-half tally undermined Skryne's cause.

Ahead 0-11 to 0-6 at the interval Oldcastle pushed on to defeat Duleek/Bellewstown in this A FL encounter last evening. The north Meath side made a bright start. Oran Mulvanny took possession from the throw-in, worked the ball forward to Ronan Maguire who, in turn, released Keith Connell. He sent the ball back to Mulvanny who found Robbie Farrelly and he sailed the ball over the bar.
Over the hour Farrelly registered six points while Ben Gray registered three scores with Ronan Maguire, CJ Healy, Pearse Sheridan contributing two points apiece. Colin Hawdon also pointed for the winners and his score proved to be the last of the game for the hard-working Oldcastle side.
