They might have been forgiven for having to start their presentation earlier in the week such was the quantity of awards they had to present, but Meath Ladies hosted a hugely enjoyable celebration night in the Ardboyne Hotel Navan on Friday night where the 2020 and 2021 Player of the Year accolades as well as All-Ireland IFC, SFC and NFL Div 2 medals were handed out.
MC'd by the popular Rory O'Connor of Rory's Stories the presentation night was a well deserved celebration of one of the most bountiful periods in Meath GAA history, and the players celebrated with their families.
Stacey Grimes and Emma Troy picked up the Senior Player of the Year awards for 2020 and 2021 respectively, while Maire O'Shaughnessy and Emma Duggan won the Players' Player of the Year accolades for those same championship winning campaigns.
The 2021 Young Player of the Year prize went to Katie Newe with Sarah Wall rewarded for her magnificent 2020 campaign with that year's equivalent.
There were also special presentations made to the management teams, while long serving out-going secretary Mary O'Regan was also honoured with a signed framed jersey.
