Knockharley CC celebrates significant milestone

Knockharley Cricket Club celebrated its 40th anniversay on Saturday last with Cllr Suzanne Jamal, Meath Co Council, as chief guest.

The event was also attended by Knockharley CC Chairman Duncan Grahan senior club committee members and junior members.

Dr Kamran Mirza welcomed everyone on behalf of Knockharley Cricket Club.

Knockharley's Annual Raffle draw took place, this year's raffle draw was to raise funds for much needed pitch roller, 4,000 euros were riased from ticket sales while 1,000 euros worth of prizes were given away.

A beautiful five- pound cake with Knockharley logo on it was cut and served with tea and refreshment.

On the day Knockharley Cricket Club's first team was playing in a first round of the Irish National Cup against Midleton Cricket Club from Cork.

Teams and umpires had prematch photograph with the chief guest.

Dr Kamran thanked all prize sponsors for this year's raffle and congratulated all prize winners.
