Vikki Wall fires goalwards. Now her talent will be on display in Aussie Rules.

Wall's absence will be a huge blow to Meath if lost to the AFLW

So after weeks of specualtion it has been confirmed Vikki Wall will join North Melbourne or the Kangaroos in the AFLW along with Cork's Erika O'Shea.

Speculation was rife the Australian football outfit would sign both players and now they have agreed deals with the club.

The 24-year-old Wall had interest from a number of clubs Down Under. It is understood she agreed a deal with the Kangaroos after rejecting Hawthorn.

The confirmation of the news is a massive blow to Meath ladies football who will lose one of its most talented players. However, it's not clear yet just how long she will miss out on Meath duty.

The reigning All-Ireland champions are now the target for teams looking to knock them off their perch.

Wall has helped to turn Meath ladies into one of the most feared teams in the country with her surging runs.

The Dunboyne player won a plethora of awards in the last year including the Meath Chronicle 'Sports Personality of the Year' accolade. O'Shea, who is 19, won an All-Star Award.

Wall is expected to be available for Meath until the end of summer although that's not totally clear yet either.
