A good sign in Trim... Interpretive panels installed in the Porchfields

A series of interpretive panels have been installed in the Porchfields in Trim as part of the Destination Towns Project.

Eleven new panels telling the story of Trim, the Castle and the Medieval Porchfield were installed in the historic amenity which is hugely popular with walkers from Trim and across the county. The panels are part of a wider project at the Porchfields over the past year which saw the installation of new outdoor gym equipment, the upgrade of footpaths, and the creation of an outdoor performance space, as well as new picnic areas. Works were also carried out to protect the historic Horse Bridge as part of the overall €646,000 project for the historic 25 hectare field.
