Bedding maker earns major business award

Meath’s Briody Group has been named All-Star Best in Class Bedding Manufacturer 2022 by the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

The Briody Group is one of the largest and most comprehensive bedding and furniture manufacturers in Ireland and produce a diversified line of mattress and foundation products.

All products are manufactured in-house at Briody’s production facility in Ballinrink, Oldcastle, Co Meath. The award-winning Briody team were recognised with their fifth Business All-Star accolade at the All-Ireland Business Summit at Croke Park.

It comes in recognition of the company’s outstanding contribution to quality and standards in the bed manufacturing sector over the last 5 years.

Business All-Star Accreditation is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria.

Reacting to the announcement, Briody Group Director David Briody said: “We are once again delighted to be recognised as best in class at this year’s AIBF Summit in Croke Park, the home of All-Stars.

“Over the past four decades in business, our main priority has been ensuring our brand and our family name is trusted throughout the country and this accolade further underpins this. The Briody Group is hereby included in the AIBF Register Of Irish Business Excellence for a fifth consecutive year.”

Managing Director of the All-Ireland Business Foundation Kapil Khanna said the accreditation, which is now held by over 500 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards but have nothing to measure them by.

He said: “We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics.”
