Plenty of quality football promised in Gerry Reilly Tournament
Meath double header in famed event
There’s an action packed day of football in the Gerry Reilly Tournament this coming Saturday, with two Meath u-16 teams in action. The Ted Webb Cup gets underway at 11am with Meath taking on Laois.
The third round of the Gerry Reilly Cup follows at 1.15pm, with Meath taking on Clare. Meath are going well in the competition, and a win will ensure a semi-final spot.
Oldcastle Gfc host the Gerry Reilly Tournament at their Millbrook pitch, in memory of the late Gerry Reilly, a promising footballer who tragically died all too young.
"This famed tournament for u-16 county players, showcases the best young footballers every year, with such luminaries as Trevor Giles, Graham Geraghty, the Brogan brothers, Stephen Cluxton and Cian Mackey taking part in the past," explained Oldcastle PRO Ealma Purcell.
"Oldcastle GFC invite everyone along to Millbrook this Saturday to cheer on the best young footballers in Meath as they show their talents!"
