Noel and Mick to be honoured as Bardic Awardees

Noel Battle and Mick Foster were among the local musicians who played on the NMCU Gig Rig on Sunday.

The local Comhaltas veterans are among the musicians who are being honoured at the Ceannródaithe Awards Gala Dinner in Bloomfield House Hotel tomorrow evening, Tuesday August 2 (7.30pm).

The other Bardic Awardees are Sarah Ghriallais, Helena Rowsome and Pádraig Sinnott, and they are honoured as ‘Ceannródaí na Fleidhe 2022’ by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann for their special contribution to Irish traditional mmusic and CCÉ.

The ceremony will incorporate a seated dinner, presentations, and performances by the awardees.
