Mullagh gardaí rescue lost donkey

'In this job you never know what you might have to deal with' say gardaí

Loca gardaí had an eventful day on Tuesday this week when they were called to Mullagh to deal with a donkey on the loose.

But the long arm of the law finally caught up with the renegade mule.

With tongue firmly in cheek, the force posted about the unusual experience on social media, telling subscribers: ‘HEE could have caused a HAWful accident but was rounded up and taken to safety. It took a while but it was established HEE is new to the area and was HAWfully glad to get home’.

Officers who assisted in rescuing the donkey and reuniting the animal with it’s rightful owners noted: “In this job you never know what you might have to deal with when you report for duty.”
