Leinster Horse and Pony Rescue centre saddling up for family fun day
The Leinster Horse and Pony Rescue Family Fun Day takes place on Sunday 25th September from 1pm to 5pm.
The event, the first in three years due to the Covid pandemic, is being held at the LHPR yard at Kiltoome, Trim on the old Navan Road behind Supermacs. There will be bouncy castles, a games corner, toddler area, face painting, horse dentist demonstration, farrier demonstration, music, food, and a chance to meet the horses.
Admission is €8 for children €5 for adults or €20 for a family of four. All proceeds go to Leinster Horse and Pony Rescue, a registered charity, run by volunteers, dedicated to the welfare of horses and ponies in Leinster. LHPR rescue, rehabilitate and rehome equines that have been subject to abuse, neglect, abandonment and deprivation.
LHPR responds to emergency calls regarding injured or distressed horses and ponies and also give talks and presentations on responsible horse ownership and horse welfare to schools and colleges.
