Hundreds of top quality jobs on offer at careers expo
With tens of thousands of commuters travelling out of the county each day to work, and rising fuel costs, now is the time to explore the opportunities to work in Meath. The Meath Chambers Careers Expo which takes place on Wednesday 12th October in the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan, will provide that opportunity to end this daily grind.
A Meath County Council survey has found that, almost half (48 per cent) of the Meath commuters working outside the county, say they are hitting the roads before 7am, with a further quarter leaving before 7.30am daily.
Michael Hughes, newly elected chairperson of County Meath Chamber explains: "Attending the County Meath Careers Expo could be a life changing experience. Mr Hughes continued: “This is Meath's leading jobs and recruitment expo where over 40 key employers will be present, hundreds of job opportunities on offer with on-site interviews and CV clinics offering advice and support to enable people stop the commute and live, work and grow in County Meath. While the Expo was originally designed to support our members in recruiting new staff it is clear from a recent commuter survey that the Meath Careers Expo is answering a pressing need from employees who want to work closer to home. The Meath Commuter survey results to date show that over 85 per cent of Meath residents said they were happy where they live but a staggering 90 per cent are interested in working
