'Reflections of Love and Hope' concert with Virginia Gospel Choir for Solstice this Saturday
Virginia Gospel Choir presents their 'Reflections of Love and Hope' concert in the Solstice Arts Centre on Saturday 3rd December at 8pm.
The gospel choir had originally intended to celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2020 but the concert had to be postponed due to Covid. Formed under the directorship of Carmel Reilly, Virginia Gospel Choir are based in Virginia with members coming from a wide catchment area in Cavan and Meath. This will be their third performance in Solstice, having previously supported Harlem Gospel Choir (2018) and The Three Tenors (2011).
The theme for this concert is ‘Reflections of love and hope’, inspired by the recent passing of two members Thomas Reilly and Eddie Winterlich, and by the pandemic.
This will be a night of joyous remembrance, and the Gospel songs chosen embody the spirit of love and hope, providing an uplift to all present.
The programme will include well-known songs and popular gospel songs.
