VIDEO: Great reactions here as Drogheda Credit Union surprises people with Random Acts of Christmas Kindness
Earlier this week, Drogheda Credit Union took to the streets of East Meath, Dunleer, Trim and Drogheda, to gift strangers and spread some kindness ahead of the festive season.
The campaign was created to lift the spirits of local people and families and bring the ethos of Drogheda Credit Union out into the community. The Random Acts of Kindness gifts ranged from vouchers for local shops, flowers, and sweet hampers.
“We know this year will be another difficult year financially for many families, and we felt that this campaign was a great way of giving back. Drogheda Credit Union is more than a financial institution, we are a community bank, and we are always there for our members.” said Patricia White, Drogheda Credit Union.
Christmas kindness continued with annual donations to Saint Vincent de Paul, Drogheda Homeless Aid and Drogheda Samaritans as well as donations to local organisations Monasterboice Tidy Towns, St.Kevin’s GAA and Naomh Martin GAA.
As this year ends, and we look forward to 2023, support from Drogheda Credit Union will continue to be a much-welcomed boost to many of the local groups and charities.
Tom Kiely, CEO, Drogheda Credit Union commented “In 2022, Drogheda Credit Union has donated €60,000 to local organisations, fundraisers, and charities through our community donation fund, and we will continue to do so in 2023. On behalf of Drogheda Credit Union’s Board of Directors and staff, I would like to wish the volunteers and members in all our local organisations a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.”
Drogheda Credit Union with branches in Drogheda, East Meath, Dunleer and Trim make donations on behalf of their members to better the community in which they are based.
If you are a charity or an organisation who needs funding, please feel free to write to the Board of Drogheda Credit Union outlining your request which will be reviewed each month.
