Deputy principal appointment for Cathal Rogers in Nobber

The LMETB has appointed Mr Cathal Rogers as permanent Deputy Principal at O’ Carolan College, Nobber. Mr Rogers had previously held the post of Acting Principal at O’ Carolan College from September 2017 to August 2022 while the Principal was on secondment to the European Schools.

As a Deputy Principal within the LMETB Schools Directorate, he will have the support of the Senior Management teams in LMETB’s other seventeen Post Primary schools, four Community National Schools, three PLC colleges and the Centre for European Schooling in Dunshaughlin.

Mr Rogers holds a Degree in Business, Accounting and Economics from Dundalk Institute of Technology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Portsmouth University. Cathal also holds a Misneach Leadership qualification from Maynooth University. Bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to the role, Cathal has worked in O’ Carolan College, Nobber since 2006 as a teacher of Business and Accounting. He has significant experience and expertise in the areas of school leadership and management, school board of management, school legislative framework, governance and compliance, curriculum development and reform, curriculum and timetable planning, DEIS, Student Voice and supporting inclusive and diverse education.
