Woman charged with murder of man in Navan further remanded as book evidence is prepared

Trim District Court has been told that it may take a further four weeks for a book of evidence to be prepared in the case of a 37-year-old Lithuanian woman charged with murder in Navan in December.

Sandra Sandaraite with an address at Academy Street, Navan who is charged with the murder of 47-year-old Zbigniew Czech on 10th December appeared at the court by video link.

Court Presenter Sergeant Toinette Kerins told the court that the file in the case was currently with the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Judge Miriam Walsh queried whether a book of evidence would be ready in four weeks and the sergeant replied that it should. Ms Sandaraite, who is in custody, was asked through a Lithuanian translator whether she would consent to be remanded for four weeks and she agreed to this. The judge then put the case back to 9th March next.
